Hi everyone,

Here's the latest with Cuttle.

Block of Text Generator

Our latest (free!) template lets you type anything and make a connected “block of text” for a coaster or sign.

The text is automatically sized to fit into a rectangle.

You can leave the size as default (3.8 inch square) for a coaster, or change the size to make a wall hanging sign or other project.

Optional blue score lines are added between letters. This is all one single, connected cut but the scores help the letters pop. Behind the scenes this uses Cuttle’s Weld and Score feature.

Like the Family Name Christmas Tree Ornament, you can add +’s or -’s at the end of a line to make any particular line bigger or smaller.

Other Improvements and Fixes 🐞

  • We shipped a major overhaul to the undo/redo system in the Cuttle Editor. This is mostly behind the scenes, but it improves performance on large projects and fixes a few quirks.
  • Fixed an issue where your selected shape or focused component could change erroneously during undos and redos.
  • Fixed an issue where changing a parameter in a parameter folder wouldn’t create an undo checkpoint.
  • Fixed an issue where the focus spotlight could disappear.
  • Fixed an issue where a selected shape would sometimes not show as selected in the Outline. Thanks for the report @chaske!
  • Fixed an issue where a minor text modification wasn't saved if it was the final change made before closing the project.
  • Fixed an issue where line guides were created erroneously when you clicked on the ruler.
  • Cleaned up the design of embedded components in packaged view. Removed the … menu.
